Speaking at the Salesforce World Tour London

Syn- derived from Greek means Together. The word "city" comes from the Latin root civitas, originally meaning citizenship or community member.

Syncity was founded in 2019 to develop business leaders to achieve success in delivering digital programmes.

I want to create a community or ‘city’ of leaders that work together to not only deliver successful programmes, but who want to re-imagine the world we live in through innovative technology. I want a community of Synners, people who want to come together to improve lives and deliver real positive change. People who aren’t afraid to challenge the norm. People who inspire others.

I want people who think differently, who want business and life efficiencies, who want to work together. Having worked in the public sector for over a decade, I have a passion for delivering better services as efficiently as possible. Bringing communities together to make a difference. Being digital is about more than just technology. It can bring new ways of working, with a wider reach and a more balanced lifestyle. It makes the world smaller and more accessible. It gives you opportunities that were never possible just a few years ago.

Digital is a social movement.

It’s about improved communication.

Companies will change, the ones that do well now will be the ones people want to work for in the future. Digital improves staff engagement. It improves well-being and fulfilment. It moves away from presenteeism towards more dynamic ways of working. It improves services for customers and employees.

This is about so much more than profits. It can lead to ecological, social, and environmental change. There is no better time to embrace digital and take the opportunity to rewrite the script.

Our Vision

Syncity was born out of a desire to cut through the noise of the digital industry. It’s a very dividing noise. Those who understand and those who don’t. It often seems like its designed to keep the divide in place. It is time to now bridge that divide.

This is where our passion comes to the fore. We are constantly challenging. Constantly putting our heads above the parapet to speak up. I see digital strategy after digital strategy that are appalling. Backed by companies that really don’t know what they’re doing but happy to take your money. It’s all possible because of the divide they keep in place between IT and the business. The divide will only truly be bridged when the business starts to take more of an interest in digital and the possibilities it can bring. No longer can you bury your head in the sand.

My passion is to create a city of Synners that become a community to be a thorn in the side to the industry. Holding them accountable for their claims. To use digital for the greater good.

We can create better services, better systems and a better world through a better approach to digital. Embrace it. Look at the bigger picture. Bridge those divides.

I want a community of people that think differently, that want to be efficient, that will work together. It is only by creating this that we can really make a difference. Start small by all means. Change your business. Communicate better with colleagues. Grow their interest and together we can make a huge difference to our cities, communities and environments. I want Syncity to be making a real difference to the world.

Lets bridge the divide. Let’s bring the business closer to IT.

Let’s use digital for better. Improve your company.

Improve your city. Improve your environment. Let’s create a city of people that work together.

Let’s create a Syncity.
